Hamburg, 26 July 2017. The Nordex Group has signed two promising contracts with EDF Energies Nouvelles. The French utility has now ordered a total of ten turbines with a combined output of around 36 MW from Nordex. The turbines are for the 'Espiers' and 'Guilleville' wind farms that are being built around 100 kilometres south of Paris.

'We view this signing as the commencement of a closer partnership with EDF Energies Nouvelles, which is planning to expand its international wind power activities. With our products, we will be able to support the company in achieving this goal efficiently and on a cost-optimised basis,' explains Patxi Landa, Chief Sales Officer of Nordex SE.

The 'Espiers' project comprises five N117/3600 turbines, while 'Guilleville' will have four N117/3600 turbines and one N100/3300 turbine. These systems are amongst the highest rated turbines to have been installed in France. The contract also includes technical service for the wind farms. Nordex operates a service station in the immediate vicinity of both wind farms, thus ensuring optimum support.
