Nordson : ASYMTEK Wins Two Technology Innovation Awards for its Quantum Fluid Dispensing System

Carlsbad, CA, USA - 26 May 2015 - Nordson ASYMTEK, a Nordson company (NASDAQ: NDSN), a leader in dispensing, coating, and jetting technologies, earned two prestigious awards for innovative technology during NEPCON China 2015: the Innovation Award from Electronics Manufacturing (EM) Asia and the VISION Award from SMT China magazine. The awards were presented for achievement in product excellence in the dispensing equipment category for Nordson ASYMTEK's Quantum® automated fluid dispensing system. Nordson ASYMTEK products have received these awards for nine straight years.
Nordson ASYMTEK's Quantum® fluid dispenser has a large 423x458mm dispense area, but performs with the same speed, high-precision, and closed-loop process controls that usually can only be found in smaller dispensers. The platform handles a wide range of substrate sizes and fluids, enabling dual-lane and dual-valve dispensing, thereby increasing throughput and productivity. The system comes complete with advanced features like a laser height sensor for fast, non-contact dispense height measurement, a digital vision system for superior image contrast and detection, patented Calibrated Process Jetting™ software to automatically compensate for changes in fluid viscosity, and Fids-on-the-Fly™ software that captures fiducials faster than stop-and-capture mode for higher units per hour. An integrated weight scale in combination with patented process control maintains consistent fluid delivery and improves production yield.

The EM Asia Innovation Award recognizes top performing companies in the Asian electronics industry for achieving the highest standards for products, materials, and equipment introduced and offered for sale in Asia. Entries were judged on innovation and achievement and for setting challenging objectives.
The SMT China VISION Award honors achievements in China's electronics manufacturing industry. Awards are based on the creativeness and innovativeness of the product and its contribution in helping the downstream industries to reduce cost, improve quality, increase efficiency, enhance reliability, improve safety, and environmental friendliness.
Both awards were presented at ceremonies held during NEPCON China, Shanghai, China, April 2015.
