WESTLAKE, OH, U.S.A., August 18, 2016: Merritt H. Christian has joined Nordson Corporation as market development manager for pelletizing systems.

He will be responsible for sales in North and South America of Nordson's BKG® brand of underwater and water ring pelletizers.

'Merritt's more than 25 years of experience with manufacturers of polymer compounds and masterbatches has given him a unique perspective on pelletizing technology,' said Kevin Tuttle, Nordson's business development manager for melt delivery products. 'He will play an important role in our program of expanding access in the Americas to the extensive BKG range of pelletizing equipment, including systems now widely used in Europe and around the world.'

Mr. Christian comes to Nordson after four years at SK Chemicals America, where he was in charge of business development for Advance Polymer Solutions. He entered the plastics industry in 1989, holding positions as technical service engineer and lab manager for Amoco, Owens Corning, PolyOne, and DSM before becoming DSM's market and application development engineer. In 2008 he became a market and technical development consultant for the plastics industry. In 2010 Mr. Christian joined Sukano Polymers as operations manager and later vice president of technology.

Merritt Christian holds a BSc degree in Decision Sciences (Statistics) from Georgia State University.
