Westlake, Ohio, USA - April 10, 2017 - Today at its global headquarters in Westlake, Ohio, Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq: NDSN) honored the contributions of employees past and present with the formal dedication of a ten-foot diameter globe sculpture designed and donated by company founding family member Richard E. Nord.

The sculpture standsas a tribute to Nordson employees around the world who have contributed to the company's success over the last six decades while maintaining the company's timeless values ofintegrity, respect for people, customer passion, energy and excellence. The sculpture is fashioned from water-jetted, anodized ¾-inch aluminum, weighs 2,400 pounds and becomes a new focal point in the landscape design of the company's LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified headquarters, which opened in 2010. A smaller, matching sister sculpture has also been installed in the headquarters' lobby.

Mr. Nord, son of company co-founder Eric Nord, collaborated closely with a team of Nordson employees and vendors to bring his vision of the sculpture to life. 'The process of producing the sculpture itself became a microcosm of what the sculpture is meant to recognize. Nordson's people are what makes the company different. That's a big part of what this sculpture represents, and it was special to experience that firsthand as we worked together on this project,' said Mr. Nord.

'It's appropriate that this sculpture is a globe, as it is the unique talents and contributions of Nordson people around the world that have enabled us to grow beyond our humble beginnings in Amherst, Ohio into a global leader in precision dispensing and fluid management,' said Michael F. Hilton, Nordson President and CEO. 'The sculpture helps us reflect on this success, but more importantly reminds us that the culture and values established by our founders have enabled our global employees to develop themselves and continue to be the vital essence that propels Nordson forward.'

Nord family members, Nordson corporate officers and employees, and vendors who assisted in constructing the sculpture attended the dedication ceremony held at the Westlake campus.
