Northern Trust Asset Management announced today that Emily Lawrence has joined as Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Senior Product Specialist. In this new role, Emily will support the development of Northern Trust’s ESG platform with a primary focus on growth opportunities in the Wealth Management and Global Family Office channels.

Lawrence joins Northern Trust Asset Management from MSCI, where she was head of screening and bespoke research operations, based in Boston. In that role, she led teams responsible for collecting and analyzing data for negative screening, impact screening and custom research products.

Lawrence holds an MSc. in European Politics and Governance from the London School of Economics and Political Science, a Masters in Conflict Resolution from the Institut Catholique de Paris and a B.A. in French Language and Literature from the University of New Hampshire. She is also fluent in French.

Lawrence joins an ESG team that also includes Avantika Saisekar, a product specialist focused on institutional clients, and Julia Kochetygova, who leads ESG research from the London office.
