HURON, SD. - August 15, 2017 - NorthWestern Energy has scheduled a power outage for a portion of Aberdeen beginning at 4:00 a.m., on Thursday, August 17, 2017. This outage could last approximately 2 to 3 hours.

The outage will impact customers east and west between 8th Street South to Main Avenue and north and south between Railroad Avenue to 6th Avenue SW.

'This is a circuit that lies within our area of Aberdeen that is being upgraded to a higher voltage, and in order to transition the system to the higher voltage, an outage is necessary.' said Tom Glanzer - Community Relations Manager SD/NE. 'We appreciate the community's patience while we make these improvements to our system.'

Efforts are being made to contact customers via telephone or in person about the outage.
