Wayne Bank Offers Apple Pay

Honesdale, PA - Wayne Bank cardholders are now able to register their Visa debit and credit cards with Apple's mobile payment application, Apple Pay.

JoAnn Fuller, Vice President and Deposit and Loan Operations Manager, explains, "Apple Pay is a modern payment solution that allows owners of Apple smartphones, tablets, and watches to use their devices to securely pay at local participating merchants, online, and within apps."

Apple Pay provides a streamlined experience that allows for quick payments. When shoppers select Apple Pay as a payment option, no payment data entry is required and checkout is completed with a single touch. Its greatest benefit, however, may be the increased security it offers compared to traditional card payments. With Apple Pay, card numbers are not stored on the iPhone, nor is payment data stored by Apple. Each transaction is transformed with a unique token, which means that no sensitive card data is ever transmitted or stored.

Furthermore, with built-in security hardware and Touch ID™, transactions are simple, smooth and secure.

Ms. Fuller adds, "Wayne Bank is committed to continually improving our customer's experience, and Apple Pay is another opportunity to offer a new and worthwhile service to our cardholders." Specific details regarding Apple Pay can be found at https://www.waynebank.com/applepay.
