China National Development and Reform Commission's Decision on Bearings August 22, 2014

Please be advised that on August 19, 2014, NTN Corporation has received the decision on bearings sold in China from National Development and Reform Commission (hereafter "NDRC") of China. The details are as follows:

1. Main points of the decision

In connection with bearing business in China, NDRC decided to impose fines of 119.16 million RMB (about 1.9 billion yen) on NTN Corporation for their alleged violations of the Chinese Antimonopoly Act.

2. Background

NTN Corporation underwent the investigation by NDRC for suspicion of the violations of the Chinese Antimonopoly Act regarding bearing business.

We will continue promoting business activities through fair and faithful competition by globally strengthening a system for thorough compliance with laws and regulations, social norms, ethics, and in-house rules, etc.

3. Impacts on earnings results

We will post an extraordinary loss in relation to the NDRC's investigation in the second quarter results of this fiscal year.

If it is determined that the business forecast for the second quarter results (accumulated) of this fiscal year should be revised, we will disclose it immediately.
