(legal name) reached an agreement to acquire 100% shares of
Total Systems Consulting Group (trade name), RJS
Consultoria em Tecnologia da Informação Ltda. (legal name)
("Total Systems"; CEO: Rui José Schoenberger;
Head office: São Paulo, Brazil), which specializes in IT
solutions, payments application, consulting and outsourcing
in Brazil.
Value Team, with a presence in Brazil, Italy and Turkey,
has a complete and structured offering of business critical
IT services, covering IT consulting, system integration,
application management and outsourcing. Value Team is
providing support to the major companies operating in the
banking, insurance, telecommunications, media,
manufacturing and retail sectors.
Through this strategic partnership, NTT DATA will further
expand its geographic reach in Brazil into the growing
Latin American markets.
NTT DATA group has set targets for overseas sales at 300
billion yen and the ratio of overseas sales at 20% for the
March 2013 quarter as part of its current medium term
management plan, and is actively working to expand its
presence overseas. In Brazil, the goal is threefold; (1)
provide IT solutions and services to Japanese companies in
Brazil, (2) establish the presence in a strong growth
market, (3) set up a base in the country to go for other
markets in the region. In order to achieve the targets, NTT
DATA intends to make further investments in Brazil and
other emerging regions.
