UPDATE REGARDING ageLOC SPA IN TAIWAN
Sales of Nu Skin and Pharmanex products are subject to local laws in the 54 markets in which Nu Skin operates. Some products may require reformulation or there may be restrictions on our ability to sell certain products in various markets due to local regulations.
Recently, Taipei city authorities delivered a notification of charges related to alleged violations of local law by Nu Skin Taiwan and certain employees and Taiwan distributors. The notice alleges that Nu Skin ageLOC Spa devices were inappropriately sold in Taiwan in 2011 and 2012.
Nu Skin Taiwan has never sold the ageLOC Spa device in Taiwan. Therefore, Nu Skin Taiwan intends to vigorously contest these charges. Nu Skin is fully committed to operating in compliance with all applicable laws in each market where it operates.
The alleged violations carry a maximum fine payable by Nu Skin Taiwan of up to NT$100,000 (US$3,000). In addition, individuals involved could face similar fines and possible jail sentences of up to three years.
