In accordance with its strategy, Nurminen Logistics continues to strengthen its position in the markets of Russia and its neighbouring regions and will open an office in Moscow on 1 September 2014. The company's Moscow office will focus on developing the project business and Russia's internal railway traffic and railway traffic through Russia to/from China.

, MBA, aged 48, has been appointed to lead the Moscow office. He has extensive experience working in managerial positions within international companies, including more than 10 years of experience of working in Moscow. Before joining Nurminen Logistics, Tanninen worked as the CEO of OOO Flowrox, Flowrox Oy's Russian subsidiary. Tanninen will start in his new position on 1 September and will report to both Hannu Vuorinen, Senior Vice President of the Special Transports and Projects business unit, and Fedor Larionov, Senior Vice President of the Railway Logistics unit.

Project transport business will also be strengthened in Finland

In Finland, Pasi Kuusijärvi, B.Sc (Eng), aged 49, has been appointed as Sales Manager in the Special Transports and Projects business unit. Kuusijärvi has decades of experience in project logistics. Kuusijärvi will be responsible for the sales and development of Nurminen Logistics' project transport to Europe, Russia and its neighbouring regions, for overall customer relationship management and for new customer acquisition. Kuusijärvi will start in his new position on 15 August and will be based in Helsinki. He will report to Senior Vice President Hannu Vuorinen. Before joining Nurminen Logistics, Kuusijärvi worked as the CEO of Stella Group.
