NYSE Euronext's U.S. Liquidity Center Wins 'Gold Award' from the Uptime Institute
-In Recognition of Three Years of Continuous Availability Since Coming Online in 2010
-The Second Award for the Liquidity Centers in 2013

New York, October 23, 2013 - NYSE Euronext today announced that its U.S. Liquidity Center was presented with the Uptime Institute's 'Gold Award' for data centers with three consecutive years of uninterrupted availability.  As a Tier IV guided data center designed to support the global trading community with regulated, high-performance access to markets, the U.S. Liquidity Center offers customers significant levels of reliability, redundancy and efficiency with multiple levels of service.

"We are pleased to accept this award from the Uptime Institute that reflects our commitment to designing and maintaining an industry-leading facility that performs capably and consistently in situations ranging from extreme market activity to inclement weather," said Lawrence Leibowitz, COO, NYSE Euronext.   "As one of the first exchange operators to build and manage its own data centers, it is critical to our business that we maintain continuous availability while ensuring complete technological and structural integrity.  This award reinforces our ability to effectively manage security, power and access to fuel while becoming increasingly more efficient in all phases of operation."

NYSE Euronext owns and operates two flagship data centers in the U.S. and Europe and connects to several smaller facilities in key geographies around the world, including Chicago, Toronto, Hong Kong and Tokyo.   These award-winning designs offer managed services spanning co-location, a financial cloud platform, robust global connectivity, flexible configuration capabilities and ultra-low latency market data solutions managed by NYSE Technologies.  The Liquidity Centers offer hosted trading infrastructure solutions and market data applications allowing firms to address their trading demands while minimizing capital and operating expenses, implementation and operational risk.  In April 2013, NYSE Euronext was also named 'Best Data Center Provider to the Sell Side' by Waters Technology for its inaugural Sell-Side Technology Awards.
