May 14, 2012. O2Micro® International Limited (NASDAQ:
OIIM) was
issued 22 claims under United States patent number 8,118,487
for its Temperature Detection methodology.
O2Micro's patented methodology monitors the temperature in
electronic devices or systems and makes adjustments to avoid
damage due to over- or under-heated systems.
"This methodology enables highly accurate measurements
over a wide temperature range. It uses an auto-ranging
thermistor temperature detection circuit to control system or
external power, such as that from a power supply," commented
