Olympique Lyonnais Groupe : TRANSFER OF ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE TO ARSENAL

Olympique Lyonnais has agreed to transfer its international striker Alexandre Lacazette to Arsenal for a maximum of €60 million, including €7 million in incentives (French GAAP).

The amount of this transfer is the highest ever achieved by Olympique Lyonnais. The capital gain on the transfer, also the highest in the history of the club, is equal to the total amount, because the player came up through the OL Academy.

Alexandre arrived at OL in 2003 at the age of 12 and played 15 seasons with the club, including eight on the professional side. He played in 275 matches and scored 129 goals.

Olympique Lyonnais would like to thank Alexandre for his professionalism and his devotion to the team and congratulates him for his effectiveness. He has been among the club's all-time highest scorers, with 129 goals in 275 matches, behind Fleury Di Nallo, Bernard Lacombe and Serge Chiesa.

Alexandre Lacazette holds the record for goals scored in a single Ligue 1 season for an OL player (28 in 2016/17) and is the only one to have scored 20 or more goals in three consecutive Ligue 1 seasons.

He was also OL's first scorer at OL Park on 9 January 2016, the day the stadium was inaugurated.

Olympique Lyonnais wishes Alexandre every success for the continuation of his career with Arsenal and on the French national team, for which he has already been selected 11 times.
