Ooredoo organised its first Sports Beach Day in Azaiba, welcoming more than 750 athletes as well as crowds of families to a fun afternoon of fun and games. Conducted as part of the Summer Sports programme launched in partnership with the Ministry of Sports Affairs, the event featured a wide-range of activities including football, volleyball, kabbadi, all-terrain sand bikes, and stage activities for children in full view of the stunning Indian Ocean coastline

A raffle draw was also held at the event, with attendees being offered the chance to win free internet for an entire year. The three lucky winners were Bara Salim Al-Abri, Shamsa Al-Kharusi Faris Abdullah Sulaiman Al-Shihhi.

Raed Dawood, Director of Government Relations and Corporate Affairs at Ooredoo, said, 'We believe that sports has the power to strengthen the ties that bind our communities together, a fact demonstrated by the many athletic campaigns we have supported since our inception. Together with the Ministry of Sports of Affairs, we are proud to once again highlight that commitment by providing the youth of Oman, families and enthusiasts with a series of activities that connect them to the games they love.'

The Summer Sports programme will run until the end of August, joining a long list of campaigns sponsored by Ooredoo to support the youth of Oman.
