Critical Mass, the global digital experience design agency, has announced the appointment of Amanda Levy as its Chief Marketing Officer as well as further promotions to its global senior team.

Levy, based in Chicago, will spearhead the global marketing and business development efforts of Critical Mass. She will report directly to Dianne Wilkins, CEO.

Levy has been with Critical Mass for nine years. In that time she has held roles in client services, business development and most recently as SVP (Senior Vice President), General Manager for Chicago & Los Angeles. Prior to Critical Mass, Levy worked as a client of the agency at Dell and also served as the West Coast director for OMD Digital where she managed the Los Angeles and San Francisco offices.

Critical Mass has also announced a number of internal senior executive promotions including Julia Perry who takes over from Levy as the SVP, General Manager for Chicago & Los Angeles. Other executive promotions include Jon Toews to SVP, General Manager for Toronto; Darryl Braunmiller to SVP, General Manager for New York; Deb Pasquale to SVP, Client Partner; Lisa Penelton to SVP, Marketing Sciences; and Jocelyn Loria to SVP, Finance. Additionally, Andrea Lennon has joined as SVP, General Manager of Critical Mass’ Asia operations, based out of Singapore.

The appointments follow the Omnicom acquisition of the remaining 50% stake in Critical Mass in November 2014.

Levy’s appointment comes eight months after the departure of Chris Hayes, who previously held the role.
