NEW YORK, April 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Global public relations leader Porter Novelli (PN) announced that Tamar Anitai has joined the agency's growing digital team as senior vice president, content strategy and Diana Scott has been hired as senior vice president, health and wellness. Both are based in the agency's New York office. In addition, Henry Engleka has been promoted to executive vice president, health and wellness.

Anitai will lead content strategy for PN Connect, Porter Novelli's digital specialty team, reporting to Chad Hyett, senior vice president, digital. In this role, she will be responsible for developing and managing content strategy for clients. Anitai comes to Porter Novelli from Viacom, where she spent eight years leading, developing and executing content strategy for MTV's millennial audience. As managing editor of MTV.com and MTV News, she was a key member of MTV's digital executive editorial team, and helped grow MTV News traffic to an all-time high.

Prior to MTV, Anitai spent five years at AOL leading the integration of community tools across content channels as well as creating exclusive content for AOL Music and AOL's travel and city guides. She was an early and influential fashion blogger who has written for and been quoted by outlets including CNN.com, Today.com, The New York Times and Huffington Post.

"Tamar's strong track record of results-driven strategic content creation will be instrumental as we continue to grow our leading digital capabilities," said Darlan Monterisi, partner, managing director, New York. "Content is more and more central to our clients' business, and Tamar's expertise will ensure we remain on the leading edge, bringing clients the smartest, most effective digital strategies."

Diana Scott has joined Porter Novelli as senior vice president in the health & wellness practice, based in New York. In this role, she will lead work with major health care clients, reporting to Henry Engleka, executive vice president.

Scott brings 17 years of public relations experience to her new role, specializing in health care communications. During that time, she has managed public relations campaigns and issues/crisis communications for global and U.S.-based clients including Boehringer-Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Novartis Oncology, Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation and Eli Lilly and Company. Most recently, Scott served as senior vice president at Weber Shandwick, following a sequence of increasingly senior roles at MS&L and Ruder Finn.

Scott has therapeutic experience in oncology, hepatitis C, erectile dysfunction, osteoporosis, cardiovascular diseases (high blood pressure), bipolar disorder and vaccines (whooping cough).

"Diana is a huge asset to our rapidly expanding health and wellness practice in New York," said Monterisi. "She fills a critical role in New York's health and wellness leadership team as we expand to support a number of growth opportunities with leading health and wellness brands."

In addition to these new hires, Henry Engleka was promoted to executive vice president in the global health & wellness practice. Engleka joined Porter Novelli in 2013 as senior vice president; since that time, he has contributed to the practice's considerable growth. Prior to Porter Novelli, Engleka was CEO at P4 Strategy Group, a strategic health communications agency, and co-founder of Zibbel Inc., which offers mobile health solutions to providers of health services. Before that, he spent nine years with Widmeyer Communications, ultimately serving as principal and managing director of the New York office. Earlier in his career he worked with The Mount Carmel Behavioral Health System as chief operating officer.

"Henry's leadership has been instrumental to the success of both the health and wellness practice and the New York office," said Monterisi. "His strategic thinking for clients, talent management skills and new business savvy have delivered on every level, resulting in organic growth, new business wins, and recruitment and retention of our top health and wellness talent. I'm thrilled to see such strong momentum carry through the first quarter of 2015--it's a testament to the exciting things happening here in New York."
