Las Vegas nabs the top spot in this year's list as it continues to add jaw-dropping attractions like the 550-foot-tall High Roller Ferris wheel at LINQ Hotel & Casino's outdoor promenade. Visitors can find rooms at LINQ under $50 per night in late August on Orbitz.com.2

Thanks to approachable exchange rates, Europe continues to be a top destination for Americans in 2015. Three international destinations make the top 10 for late summer: London, Paris and Dublin come in at number three, four and 10 respectively. A recent Orbitz.com survey found that more than half of travelers would head to Europe if the price is right3. Destinations like Dublin offer average hotel rates for less than $160 per night, and even Paris has average hotel rates under $200 per night making August a great time to take advantage of the strong U.S. dollar in Europe before summer's end.
