Zurich, November 19, 2015 - Dr Michele Bomio, CEO of Orell Füssli Thalia AG, has decided to leave the company and will relinquish his post at his own request at the end of 2015. The Board of Directors has initiated the succession process. CFO Pascal Schneebeli will head the company ad interim.

Dr Michele Bomio took the helm at Orell Füssli Thalia in October 2013, having already previously served as CEO of Thalia Bücher AG for four years.

The Board of Directors of Orell Füssli Thalia expresses its thanks to Dr Bomio for his valuable contributions and important commitment. 'After some seven years with the company, Michele Bomio has expressed the wish to pursue new challenges. He has contributed significantly to the further development of Orell Füssli Thalia's position as Switzerland's largest book retailer. We wish him all the best for his further professional and personal future.'

Following Dr Bomio's departure and until the succession issue has been settled, the company will be headed ad interim by CFO Pascal Schneebeli.

Orell Füssli Thalia AG is a joint venture between Orell Füssli Buchhandlungs AG and Thalia Bücher AG. Orell Füssli holds a stake of 50%.
