SORIANA ANNOUNCES INVESTMENT PLAN 2013

gladly announces its 2013 investment plan for $4.6 billion pesos. (US $357 Million)
This investment will be assigned in large proportion to open 60 new stores located all around Mexican Republic, also to increase land reserve, the renewal of the technological platforms and to improve the distribution network, being the above key fundamental pieces that will sustain the future growth plans of the Company.
As mentioned above, during the 2013 we expect an approximately increase of 4 to 5% in installed capacity of total sales floor area and have presence in 240 cities nation-wide.
"The investment directed to open the new stores will be 2.5 billion pesos (US $194
Million). This year we also plan to continue strengthening the growth of our store format Mercado Express, which currently has 72 units located in 24 of the 32 states of the Republic". said Mr. Aurelio Adan, CFO of Organización Soriana.
As another important event of the Company, during the month of March we will begin our 2013 new stores opening plan, expecting to inaugurate 6 new stores in the Hypermarket and Express format. The stores will be located in the states of Tabasco, Chiapas, Yucatán, Guerrero and Jalisco. With the opening of these stores, it is planed to conclude the first quarter of the year with a total of 612 stores in operation nation-wide and the generation of more than 1,000 direct and indirect jobs.
