TOKYO, Japan - October 8, 2015 -ORIX Rentec Corporation ('ORIX Rentec'), a subsidiary of ORIX Corporation, today announced that it will start offering contract-based 3D plastic modeling service using Stratasys 3D printers for corporate customers.

In providing this 3D modeling service, Rentec utilizes Stratasys' 3D printer, 'Fortus 450mc,' that processes plastic material used to make parts for automobiles and home appliances, to produce prototype products for its customers. ORIX Rentec will help customers to conduct high-precision product testing by providing them with prototypes of almost equivalent material strength as the final production-grade plastic products.

ORIX Rentec has started offering 3D metal modeling using EOS 3D printers since May 2015. Together with 3D plastic modeling, ORIX Rentec will be able to meet customers' modeling needs from metals to plastics. Additionally, ORIX Rentec newly opened 'Tokyo 3D Lab.' in its Tokyo Technology Center on June 16 and began full-fledged offering of the service. At Tokyo 3D Lab. , visitors can discuss business or take a 3D printing tour which allows them to gain direct experience of the technology. Those who wish to use 3D printers on their own can rent them from ORIX Rentec at low initial cost as well.

ORIX Rentec will continue to contribute to customers' innovative product development through its various 3D printing related services such as 3D modeling, 3D printer leasing, etc.
