TOKYO, Japan - June 14, 2016 - ORIX Auto Corporation ('ORIX Auto'), a subsidiary of ORIX Corporation, today announced that it will begin offering rental services for mobile office vehicles at its 60 ORIX Truck Rental offices around Japan on June 14, 2016.
A mobile office vehicle is a special type of van for business use that has been modified and equipped with office functions. Such vehicle enables companies to improve business efficiency by eliminating the traveling between remote sites where work is performed and the office.
Motivated by requests for a way to improve efficiency, such as reduced working hours, ORIX Auto started providing mobile office vehicles based on customers' orders in September 2015. The orders came from different companies, including civil engineering and construction firms. In response to heightened needs from customers in various fields, ORIX Auto will now station a total of 100 vehicles at 60 locations by the end of September 2016.
Leveraging knowhow cultivated through the leasing of trucks and specialty vehicles, ORIX Auto has accumulated experience and track record in developing and selling mobile bank branch vehicles to financial institutions. Going forward, it will continue to develop specialty vehicles that meet customers' diverse needs.
