In December, monthly gas sales volume totaled 724 million cubic meters, down 2.1% from the previous year. The sales profiles in each customer category are as shown below.
[Residential]
The gas sales volume decreased by 2.9% from the same month in the previous year, due to higher temperatures of the air and water
in November, which caused decrease of hot water and heating demand.
[Non-Residential - Industrial]
The gas sales volume decreased by 2.3% from the same month in the previous year, due to decrease in capacity utilization of our customers' facilities and the expiry of PPA of IPP and change of classification of gas used from non-regulated to self-use.
[Non-Residential - Commercial]
The gas sales volume decreased by 4.9% from the previous year, due to our customers' energy conservation trend and shorter meter reading schedules.
[Non-Residential - Public and Medical]
The gas sales volume decreased by 6.5% from the previous year, due to our customers' energy conservation trend and shorter meter reading schedules.

3. Cumulative Gas Sales Volume (1m3=45MJ)
Osaka Gas Company, Ltd. specializes in distributing natural gas. Net sales break down by activity as follows:
- transmission and distribution of natural gas (84%). The group also develops an installation of gas pipes activity;
- other (11.7%): primarily development and promotion of real estate assets.
The remaining sales (4.3%) are from the energy activity ensured abroad.
