Pace plc, a global leader for digital TV and broadband technologies, today announced the launch of their new range of ADSL and VDSL gateways:

  • Entry-level: The GA2305 is an ADSL2+ gateway targeted for high-speed Internet and IPTV services with wireless N and four fast Ethernet interfaces to enable whole home connectivity.
  • Mid-level: The GA4305 adds voice services with the GV4305 further adding VDSL2 to the entry level product to enable the triple play bundle and provide access network independence.
  • High-end: The GV5707 is Pace's top of the range model with full gigabit Ethernet, dedicated VDSL2 and Ethernet WAN ports, high power dual-band concurrent 802.11ac and optional HPNA networking.

Pace has continued to build on over a decade of gateway software experience and all of the new gateways come pre-installed with Pace's Helium software. Helium is a feature rich gateway stack that has an intuitive web user interface for user configuration; it delivers high security and WAN routing out of the box; and includes media, file and printer sharing using DLNA and Samba. Helium additionally supports home energy, monitoring and automation applications with OSGi enabling operators to develop interoperable smarthome applications.

Furthermore Helium is pre-integrated and fully instrumented with the industry standards for remote management including TR-069, XMPP and SNMPv3, enabling operators using Pace's ECO service management tools or other management systems to improve their customer support capabilities, reduce their operational expenses and shorten their time to market for new features.

"Pace now offers a complete range of xDSL products that combine the right feature set, functionality and associated economics to serve our customers growing demand for advanced broadband services" stated Jim Henderson, President, Pace International. "Pace's pedigree in innovative, highly reliable hardware, combined with its vast experience in advanced gateway software and device management give operators the foundation to deliver a high performance experience with an unsurpassed quality of service in a home environment that is rapidly increasing in complexity".

Pace will demonstrate their full range of xDSL, Cable and Fibre gateways and network extenders on booth #F30 at Broadband World Forum, which takes place at the RAI, Amsterdam, from 21-23 October 2014.
