Citi will take up over five floors of the 40-storey building located in Lot 10 of the Sudirman Central Business District in Jakarta. The building is expected to be completed in mid 2017.
'We are excited that Citi has decided to select our Premium Grade A office building in Jakarta as its prime business location in this fast-growing city center. Indonesia ranks fifth in Asia in terms of gross domestic product (GDP) and has huge potential for growth given its large population and rich natural resources.' Mr. Lee added: 'This agreement represents a strong boost to PCPD's ambition in increasing its presence in Asia as well as its strategy in enriching its portfolio in a diverse range of properties including residential, office, commercial, and hotel and resort.'
According to Chief Executive Officer of Citi Indonesia, Batara Sianturi, the move is part of Citi's global work space concept called Citi Works. 'This relocation will transform the way we work and collaborate with each other. The office will allow us to design ultra-modern space with high- end mobile connectivity.' Prior to Indonesia, Citi Works has been successfully introduced in Singapore, Shanghai and Tokyo.
The 40-story Premium Grade A office building under development by PCPD is located in Sudirman CBD, one of the prime business districts on the southern edge of what is referred to as the 'Golden Triangle' of Jakarta. It is within walking distance to a number of signature buildings, residences and luxury hotels in Jakarta, including Indonesia Stock Exchange, Equity Tower and Ritz Carlton Hotel. With a development area of 150,000 square meters, the building also features a wide array of amenities, including a club floor with swimming pool, top floor VIP dining rooms with unrivalled city view, function rooms, food court and ample car-parking spaces.
Six basement levels being completed and the construction works of upper floors of the building are proceeding as planned. The building is designed to meet some of the highest international standards in environmental protection and sustainable development. It has been awarded the LEED Platinum Grade Pre-certification by US Green Building Council, the first of its type in Indonesia, in March 2014 and Greenship Design Recognition Platinum Grade certification in 2015. Most recently in September 2015, the building was also awarded the Winner of the Best Green Development and highly commended Best Office Development in the Indonesia Property Awards. With such exceptional green elements and its prime location, PCPD is confident the building will become a landmark business location clustering with multinationals, financial institutions and renowned corporations.
