Palo Alto : Extends Global Cyber Range Initiative With Newest Facility in Sydney

SYDNEY, Australia, 19 June 2018 - Palo Alto Networks® (NYSE: PANW), the global cybersecurity leader, today announced the opening of its Sydney Cyber Range as the newest facility in its global Cyber Range initiative.

Officially opened by the company's vice chairman, Mark McLaughlin, this is the fourth permanent Cyber Range facility for Palo Alto Networks and the first in Asia-Pacific. By providing permanent Cyber Range capabilities, Palo Alto Networks is working to build and improve effective skills for cybersecurity challenges today and in the future.

This skills-building approach is essential in Australia, where cybersecurity skills remain in short supply. As the global skills gap continues to widen, many industry pundits suggest employers need to take responsibility for closing that gap. As today's enterprise networks evolve, the Cyber Range provides a unique opportunity for businesses to proactively evolve their employees' cybersecurity skills as they relate to the changing network. Palo Alto Networks Cyber Ranges are dedicated training facilities where IT and security teams from Asia-Pacific can practice their skills using network simulations and cyberattack exercises.
