At the beginning of today's Board of Directors' Meeting, Gabriella Chersicla, Francesco Gatti, Yvon Guérin, Marco Jesi, Daniel Jaouen, Marco Reboa, Antonio Sala, Franco Tatò and Riccardo Zingales announced their resignation as Directors of the Board with the effective date of the approval of the Statutory Financial Statements dated 31st December 2013.
In the letter signed by the above mentioned members of the Board the following is stated:
"We tender our resignation after the decision by the Court of Parma which has refused the request by the Prosecutor's Office to revoke the whole Board of Directors.
As we are convinced to have always acted in the most correct manner, we choose to take this difficult decision in the exclusive interest of the Company, in order to allow the Company itself to operate once more in a constructive and serene environment.
We leave behind a Company, that in the last two years, even after having faced an extremely difficult period, managed to achieve under our management and guidance the best results in its history (also thanks to the more than positive contribution provided by LAG in terms of economic results) with benefits for all shareholders that saw the share price increase by around 39% during the course of 2013."
Due to the above mentioned resignations the whole Board of Directors will cease to operate once the new Board of Directors is appointed by the next Annual General Meeting to be called.
