Drones serving real estate and building industry professionals
  • Range of turnkey drone-based aerial imaging services.
  • Digital platform for ordering drone-based services in just a few clicks.

From inspecting a roof to assessing a site's progress with an overall view and measuring a facade before renovation work, these are just some of the needs that developers, architects, surveyors and other real estate and building industry professionals face and that require major resources in terms of facilities (scaffolding, cradles, etc.) and investments.

To meet these needs and accelerate the digital transition for real estate and building industry professionals, Parrot Air Support, the Parrot Group's new subsidiary, offers a catalogue of turnkey services with drone-based aerial imaging, capitalizing on the Parrot Group's expertise for processing drone-acquired data.

From monitoring building projects to mapping existing facilities in 3D, conducting visual and thermographic inspections and creating promotional videos for existing or off-plan properties, Parrot Air Support covers all the phases in a building's lifecycle.

"Drones are an outstanding tool for reaching, observing, filming and taking photos of inaccessible areas. They are also an ideal data collection and acquisition tool", confirms Henri Seydoux, Parrot's founder, chairman and chief executive officer. "With our subsidiary Parrot Air Support, we want to accelerate the use of drones by professionals. We are capitalizing on our expertise and our knowledge of civil drone markets and data processing solutions to offer real estate and building industry professionals a platform for very simple access to drones for use in their business. There is no need to know how to pilot a drone. Neither is there any need to buy one. You can simply order one of our services in just a few clicks and obtain the data you need at the end of your mission".

Parrot Air Support's teams have already carried out around 30 missions for a range of clients, including building engineering consultancies like T/E/S/S atelier d'ingénierie, surveyors like Cabinet Brachet, and other businesses such as BNP Paribas Real Estate or Unibail-Rodamco.

"The acquisition of aerial data using drones with the Air Support by Parrot services represents a perfect response to the lack of exhaustive data available with land-based acquisitions. This service also enables surveyors to operate more safely by not having to take measurements on roofs in person", explains Yann Lallinec, a surveyor with Cabinet Brachet.

    Drones serving professionals

The parrot-airsupport.com site makes it very quick and easy for real estate and building industry professionals to order the drone-based services they need.

Parrot Air Support's teams handle all the planning aspects for missions and customers can track their project's various stages online until the elements they have ordered are made available on the cloud.

  • End-to-end management of administrative processes

For each mission, Parrot Air Support manages all the processes linked to obtaining flight authorizations, as well as planning all the flights required to complete the mission.

The Parrot Air Support team also selects suitable drone pilots and the hardware required.

  • Team of certified drone pilots across France Parrot Air Support is able to count on a team of professional drone pilots who are certified by the French civil aviation authority (DGAC) and have received further technical training from Parrot Air Support in order to meet the company's quality standards.

Present throughout France, they carry out preparatory visits for each project and capture the images needed.

    Air Support by Parrot services

The online Air Support platform enables customers to access and benefit from the various elements (deliverables) made available to them.

These digital deliverables can be imported directly into the digital tools used by real estate and building industry professionals, accelerating the deployment of building information modelling (BIM) on projects.

"We have created a service platform that brings together new robotics and digital technologies for real estate and building industry professionals", explains Thai- Binh Phan, CEO of Parrot Air Support. "With the Air Support by Parrot services, drones enable our customers to benefit from high-quality data on progress made with their projects and achieve major time-savings for affordable costs. The rates for our services start from 1,500 euros excluding tax".

Parrot Air Support offers the following services:
  • Project monitoring

This service makes it possible to quickly capture images of project sites at regular intervals in order to have an accurate global view of the entire project, measuring its progress based on direct dimensions or benefiting from resources that can be incorporated into project tracking applications.

Parrot Air Support provides timestamped scaled photographic plans (2D orthoplan) that are accurate to 5 cm, with high-resolution photographs and an option for 3D point clouds for current project sites in a format that can be directly superimposed with a BIM tool for checking progress.

  • Site review

From carrying out surveys to taking difficult measurements and conducting assessments prior to work or as part of property reviews, the use of drones makes it possible to accurately model a building's external areas and plans or obtain accurate data on the condition of a building's external shell thanks to photorealistic rendering.

Parrot Air Support provides timestamped scaled photographic plans of sites (2D orthoplan) that are accurate to 5 cm, with 3D modelling based on cloud points or grids, and HD photographs of entire external building shells.

  • Visual and thermographic inspection

Drones enable risk-free access to all the areas of building exteriors to obtain complete, detailed views. For instance, they make it possible to check the condition of gutters, drainpipes or dormer windows, check water run-off for terrace roofing, locate cracks, etc. with a view to preparing insurance investigation reports more quickly, prioritizing renovation work or even planning maintenance activities or investments.

Parrot Air Support provides HD photos of entire building exteriors, which are valuable resources for making decisions in terms of building damage appraisals, building analyses or real estate reviews.

A 3D modelling option is also available, offering virtual building inspections whenever needed. Models represent a resource for archiving photos based on survey-related data, rather than just names in a folder, thanks to the click&show feature.

  • Promotional videos

Drones make it possible to create spectacular areal videos to showcase properties in their environment thanks to immersive, dynamic presentations of current or future residential properties. They also make it possible to engage potential customers for off- plan real estate projects by showing a view from each floor.

Parrot Air Support provides a Full HD video with music and subtitles, 30 minutes of 4k rushes, as well as an option for a video with infographics.
