PATRIZIA Immobilien AG states clearly and without any doubt that the purchase of GBW involved no 'Russian money', 'money from Russia' or similar as reported by Handelsblatt / Monitor.

The coverage clearly lacks foundation and is categorically wrong. The suspicion is a baseless lie, a point we have directly communicated to the Handelsblatt and Monitor editors and which we will continue to communicate. We resolutely oppose these invented claims and will defend ourselves against these false claims with all the legal means at our disposal.

Where appropriate, we suggest any media considering a follow-up report should first thoroughly investigate the facts and pay attention to the discrepancies clearly discernible in the Handelsblatt article.

Finally, we are not prepared to be used as an object in an obviously politically motivated attack.
