WEBSTER VETERINARY ANNOUNCES ECONNECT LAUNCH BY VETSOURCE

Webster Veterinary announced today that its home delivery pharmacy partner VetSource has launched eConnect, a new service that provides a unique solution for veterinary practices to reconnect with and engage clients who shop online for their pet's medications. Pet owners have the convenience of requesting prescription medications and therapeutic diets online, directly from their veterinarian.
Webster Veterinary President George Henriques said, "With this new service that combines proprietary veterinary script approval software, pharmacy services and marketing with online retailers, VetSource continues to innovate and provide solutions that help practices compete in the growing home delivery market for pet medications."
The VetSource-authorized retail sites support the profession by including the veterinarian in both the approval process and transaction, while reinforcing a strong commitment to the value of regular veterinary care. Additionally, eConnect provides veterinarians with marketing
support that will help drive clients to the clinic. VetSource President and CEO Kurt Green said, "We are very excited about this new solution, which acknowledges the realities of the rapidly
evolving purchasing behavior of today's pet owner, while at the same time, underscoring our commitment to the veterinarian."
VetSource is launching eConnect with Wag.com, to be followed shortly by Dog.com - among the fastest growing, most respected online pet retailers - who are committed to supporting veterinarians and the vital role they play in the health and well-being of pets.
David Zhang, Site Leader at Wag.com, stated, "When we wanted to start our own online pharmacy to provide a more complete shopping experience for our customers, we were told we had one option: undercut veterinary professionals and convince customers that their vets were overcharging them.
