Bucharest, Romania, 9 February 2015: Customers of Compania de Apa SOMES SA (SOMES SA Waterworks) in the counties of Cluj and Salaj are now able to pay their water and sewarage bills through PayPoint Romania, the main retail-based cash and mobile payment operator in Romania. Payments are quick and safe to make through PayPoint terminals in convenience stores in cities and the majority of villages where Compania de Apa Somes operates in the two counties. Most of these stores have long opening hours, making payment even more convenient.
To make a payment, Compania de Apa Somes's customers simply take their bill to the nearest PayPoint shop where the assistant enters the payment details into the terminal; the customer then pays in cash and receives a receipt with all the details of the transaction (date, amount, location, supplier etc). The whole operation takes just a few moments to complete, thus considerably reducing the time people need to spend paying their bills.
"This agreement with PayPoint completes our programme to diversify and simplify the methods our customers have to pay their bills, part of our policy of continous improvement in customer service and of ensuring that our customers in urban and rural areas are able to communicate with Compania de Apa Somes in exactly the same way," declared Dr. Dorin Ciataras, Managing Director of Compania de Apa Somes.
