ADEME ACQUIRES A STAKE IN ENERSENS AS PART OF THE 'INVESTMENTS FOR THE FUTURE' PROGRAM

A €6 million capital increase
Acknowledgment of the economic and societal potential of super-insulating materials at the heart of COP21 concerns relating to energy transition

Longjumeau, September 30, 2015,

PCAS (Euronext Paris : PCA), PCAS (Euronext Paris: PCA), specialists in the development and production of complex molecules for life sciences and innovative technologies, is pleased to announce that ADEME has acquired a stake in its subsidiary ENERSENS, which develops, mass produces and markets very high-performance insulating materials.

• Under its 'Investments for the Future' program, ADEME participates in ENERSENS' €6 million capital increase over two years. This project is backed by the "New resources" Solution of Nouvelle France Industrielle (New Industrial France), a program pursued by the government following on from the "green chemistry" industrial plan.
• ADEME is investing €3 million and through this transaction will acquire a 14 % interest in ENERSENS, alongside a family office (19 %) and PCAS, which remains the principal shareholder (with a 67 % stake).
• This transaction confirms the credibility of the super-insulation project headed by ENERSENS and underscores the innovative and ground-breaking nature of its manufacturing processes and products.
• The funds thus raised will, among other things, finance the implementation of industrial production facilities for padded materials and super-insulating panels. These resources will supplement the super-insulating granules manufacturing unit, which will come into production by the end of the year.

Ségolène Royal, the French minister for ecology, sustainable development and energy, has reiterated the importance of innovation in energy transition serving green growth. In this respect, the State encourages initiatives like that of ENERSENS, which represent a tremendous source of solutions for combating climate disruption. A few weeks away from the COP 21, this capital increase illustrates the dynamism of French industry in this respect.

Emmanuel Macron, the French minister for economy, industry and digital technology, has stressed the fact that the ENERSENS project is the culmination of innovation work backed by public authorities. It should lead to the development of a sector of excellence in France in the field of superinsulaing materials, which will create jobs.

ADEME Chairman Bruno Lechevin comments: "ADEME is delighted to be partnering this highly innovative company, which gains another dimension through this capital increase. This investment falls within the scope of ADEME's mission as part of its Investments for the Future program of funding French companies with very high growth potential. We believe that the super-insulating materials developed and mass produced by ENERSENS offer in particular a concrete and highly efficient solution for energy-saving improvements to buildings, which are essential to the success of the energy transition. "

PCAS CEO Vincent Touraille adds: "We are delighted that ADEME is acquiring a strategic stake in ENERSENS as part of the Investments for the Future program. This fund raising operation, which is a new crucial stage in ENERSENS' development, will provide it with the resources it needs to roll out its technologies, and its super-insulating materials in general, on an industrial scale. "

Didier Schneider and Pierre-André Marchal, respectively Chairman and Executive Director of ENERSENS, conclude "ADEME's investment furthers our ambition to become the European leader in super-insulation and further confirms our credibility among the key players of energy transition in France and all over the world.
