PCAS, a leader in Fine Specialty Chemicals, has announced a capital increase for its subsidiary Enersens in which the company Parsnip, represented by Mr. Denery Fenouil, has acquired a 25% interest for ?3.2 million.

"We are delighted to welcome Parsnip as an Enersens shareholder. Parsnip's capital contribution is decisive for the implementation of our industrial and commercial development plan" affirms Mr. Didier Schneider, Chairman of Enersens.

"Our aim is to become a European leader in the field of superinsulating materials intended for the construction and industrial (transportation, energy, etc.) sectors. We want to actively contribute to the emergence of a network of excellence in these sectors that create economic and social value" explains Mr. Denery Fenouil.

"Enersens has a particularly innovative technology that it uses to manufacture a material with exceptional performance: the best thermal insulation solution known to date, it is fire-proof and also soundproofing. Market demand for this type of highly efficient material that significantly reduces our energy dependency bodes well for Enersens' future growth" underlines Mr. Pierre-André Marchal, Executive Director of Enersens.

Enersens, a French Société par Actions Simplifiée in which PCAS holds a majority share, has developed products and technologies in the field of highly efficient aerogels and insulating materials. Enersens has its own development and production facilities and currently manufactures silica aerogel in granular form at the PCAS Bourgoin-Jallieu site (Isère). The synthetic process was originally developed in partnership with Mines ParisTech with the support of ADEME, the French Environment and Energy Management Agency. Enersens is also planning to manufacture a range of paneled and padded products using a patented technology.
