GOVERNANCE: PCAS STRENGTHENS ITSELF
Philippe Decazes joins the fine chemistry group

At its session of the 10 March, the company's Board Of Directors appointed Mr. Philippe Decazes, ex-President of the Executive Board of Guerbet, a member of the Board.
The Board also decided to propose, at the next General Shareholders' Meeting, the appointment as new Board Members of Ms. Catherine Millot and Mr. Le Bourhis, Financial Director of Eximium, already represented by Mr. Michel Baulé.
In order to accelerate deployment of the Group's strategic plan, the Board decided to strengthen its General Management team by appointing Mr. Philippe Decazes Chief Executive Officer and confirming Mr. Vincent Touraille as Vice Chief Executive Officer.
Philippe Decazes, 54, began his career in the pharmaceutical industry with Clin-Midy, then with Sanofi. He then served as general manager of several innovative international companies specialised in their respective fields: diagnosis and treatment of allergies, as head of Stallergènes from 1984 to 1990; biotechnologies at Transgène, then at Amersham from 1991 to 1994; fine chemistry at Simafex from 1995 to 1997; medical imagery at the head of the Guerbet group (turnover 350 million euros) from 1998 to 2009.
He holds an engineering degree from Centrale Paris and also a master's degree in economics from the University of Paris I and an executive MBA from the University of Virginia (USA).
Christian Moretti, Chairman of the Board of Directors, said: "- I am very happy that Philippe Decazes is joining us, because his experience with development and marketing of proprietary products will be very helpful for deploying our strategy. He and Vincent Touraille, who has been in control of our markets and activities for 13 years, will rapidly be able to simultaneously carry out our many strategic projects for adapting to economic cycles and developing proprietary products and new technologies in Pharmaceutical Chemistry as well as in Fine Specialty Chemicals."
Philippe Decazes expressed his enthusiasm for this new mission: " - After Stallergènes and Guerbet, I was looking for a new challenge that would be just as interesting. PCAS has everything necessary for success - worldwide presence, superb opportunities on its different markets, and a team that combines unique, recognised skills." He also added: "- As a customer of PCAS these past 10 years, I was able to directly judge the constant quality and reliability of its services, which have played a determining role in the growth of our principal product."
