PCAS includes a new Scientific Board in its governance

Longjumeau, December 4, 2014

PCAS' new Scientific Board, headed by Gérard Guillamot, PCAS group Director of R&D, met on November 26 last. The main aim was to explain the resources and structures of the PCAS group, both human and technical, in particular the R&D part, to members who have recently joined this board. This first Scientific Board meeting presented all the different existing technologies and their impact. Because these technologies condition the appeal of the PCAS Group vis-à-vis potential prime contractors but also the Group's capacity to develop its own molecules. The specialized subsidiaries Proteus and Enersens were the subject of a detailed explanation.

The following external personalities were invited to attend this Scientific Board meeting:

- Janine Cossy, Professor of Chemistry at E.S.P.C.I.- Paris-Techn, co-founder of the Acanthe Biotech and CDP Innovation start-ups

- Jacqueline Lecourtier, Managing Director of A.N.R. from 2006 to 2012 and Scientific Director of I.F.P., Member of the Académie de Technologies (French Academy of Technologies).

- Géraldine Masson, Director of Research at CNRS, I.C.S.C.N. / Gif-sur-Yvette, CNRS Bronze Medalist in 2013.

- Pierre Monsan, Emeritus Professor and Director of T.W.B. (Toulouse White Biotechnology), President of the P.I.V.E.R.T. Strategic Steering Committee (Picardie Innovations Végétales, Enseignements et Recherche Technologique), Member of the Académie de Technologies , cofounder of BioEurope (subsidiary of Solabia) in 1984, Biotrade in 1996 and GéniBio in 1998, Professor at the Paris Ecole des Mines.

- Sylvain Rault, Emeritus Professor of Pharmacy in Caen, head of the Chimiothèque Nationale" (CN - French National Chemical Library), ex-Director of C.E.R.M.N.
