Peoples Bancorp : Children’s Listening Place Receives $2,000 Grant from Peoples Bank Foundation

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (Sept. 2016) - The Peoples Bank Foundation, a non-profit corporation formed to make donations in Peoples Bank market areas, recently awarded a $2,000 grant to the Children's Listening Place in Wood County, W.Va.

The grant will be used to purchase supplies and equipment for the organization's ongoing needs.

"The Children's Listening Place is an important advocacy program in Wood County," said Elysia Taylor, Peoples Bank Vice President & Regional Manager. "Peoples Bank is pleased to assist the organization as it cares for the youngest in our community."

The Children's Listening Place is a nonprofit organization with the mission of protecting and serving abused children. It offers a community-based center dedicated to providing a coordinated approach to investigating abuse and assisting children in coping with the trauma of abuse.

Peoples Bank Foundation focuses on charitable giving in four major areas: community investment and economic development, youth and education, human services programs that improve the social needs of low- to moderate-income communities and individuals, and the arts and cultures.
