COMBAT Drives Innovation with Introduction of Two New Fastpitch Bat Lines
COMBAT MAXUM Offers Huge Sweet Spot, While All-New MADISON SHIPMAN Lineup Provides Ultimate Performance

KENT, Wash -- August 3, 2015 -- COMBAT, a leading developer, designer and manufacturer of elite baseball and softball bats and apparel, announced today the expansion of its successful COMBAT MAXUM into fastpitch softball, as well as the launch of its all-new MADISON SHIPMAN bat lineup.

"We're committed to advancing performance in women's fastpitch softball, a sport that is experiencing considerable participation growth," said Don Cooper, Director of Sales and Marketing, COMBAT. "For the first time in our company's history, COMBAT is delivering to consumers two completely unique and high-performing bat lineups for the upcoming women's fastpitch season."

Following the successful launch of COMBAT MAXUM in baseball, COMBAT is delivering the same innovation to fastpitch. A revolutionary bat lineup, COMBAT MAXUM utilizes exclusive Precision Molded Seamless Construction to extend the length of the barrel while decreasing swing weight. As a result, MAXUM creates a significantly larger hitting surface and sweet spot, allowing hitters to make better contact more often.

An engineer at COMBAT since 2014, Yee's long-list of accomplishments on the field include participation in the 2008 Olympics, a 2010 World Championship bronze medal, a 2011 Pan Am silver medal and a gold medal in the recent 2015 Pan Am games.

All-new for the 2015 season, Team COMBAT unveiled its MADISON SHIPMAN bat lineup, inspired by the 2014 National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) Rookie of the Year and former First-Team NCAA All-American for the University of Tennessee Lady Volunteers. The star shortstop for the USSSA Pride helped with the design and provided key consumer insights to help create a bat with the ultimate performance.

"When I think of COMBAT, there are two things that come to mind: consistency and power. Two key assets that are utilized when becoming a successful player at the plate," said Madison Shipman. "I couldn't be more excited to represent a company that understands what great players need to excel, and they continue to invest to relentlessly pursue innovative products."

Shipman joined Team COMBAT in April 2015 and exclusively plays with COMBAT to help her game. Team COMBAT MADISON SHIPMAN bats will be available at retail in late October, while COMBAT MAXUM FP bats will be available at retail in September.

Available in all sizes and drop weights, the MADISION SHIPMAN lineup (grey) and the COMBAT MAXUM lineup (white) will be available at authorized COMBAT retail stores this fall.
