By Aviadvigatel, OJSC will take part in the International Engine-Building Forum 2014 (IEBF-2014), which will take place in Moscow from April 15 to April 18 in the All-Russia Exhibition Center (hall No. 57). Within the United Engine Corporation exposition Perm Design Bureau will introduce PD-14 - a new completely Russian engine for MC-21 aircraft, PS-90A2 engine mockup for TU-204SM and PS-90GP-25 Industrial Engine.
PD-14 is a baseline engine of the by-pass turbofan engines family with a unified 8...18 ton-thrust gas generator. PD families are designed for advanced ÌÑ-21, ÌÒÑ, SSJ-130NG applications. Versions of PD-14 baseline engine could be used for re-engining of the existing SSJ-100, AN-148, TU-204, TU-214, TU-334, BE-200, IL-76, IL-96 and other aircrafts.
The visitors will be able to see the withdrawn from testing PD-14 Engine, its parts and components, which were manufactured using modern high-efficiency technologies. Immediately after Forum PD-14 Engine will be returned for rig testing.
PS 90A2 Engine is designed for TU-204SM medium-range aircraft. As of today TU-204SM is superior in navigation and aircraft performance to the superseded TU-204 family. PS 90A2 Engines with increased liability and service life compared with baseline TU-204 provides 10-12% fuel burn reduction and aircraft noise reduction (in accordance with ICAO stage 4 requirements). TU-204SM have passed all certification tests and is ready for mass production.
At the IEBF-2014 PS-90GP-25 Industrial Engine will be introduced by a serial engine with an operational time of more than 20000 hours. Nowadays GTU-25P gas turbine units with a single-unit power of 25 MW on the basis of PS-90GP-25 and also GTES-25P gas turbine genset are in successful operation.
PS-90GP-25 version with the improved service life and operational performances has been developed by Aviadvigatel. Advanced engine is already popular between fuel-and-power sector companies. The leading engine powers the compressor plant Igrinskaya, Gazprom Transgaz Tchaikovsky LLC, power generating unit delivery for LUKOIL, OJSC auxiliaries power supply is in progress. As of March 2014 there are 55 Perm industrial gas turbines of 25MW, including 37 units of GTU-25P which are successfully being operated as a part of Nord Stream gas pipeline.
Aviadvigatel specialists will take active part in research-and-technology congress as a part of the Forum. Perm designers' reports will be dedicated to such issues as gas turbine engines emission characteristics enhancement, the development of computational and experimental methods of materials investigation, improving of the modern gas turbines design practices and others.
A big delegation of Aviadvigatel newcomers - young engineers will also attend the forum. Visiting the sectoral exhibitions is a part of the company's youth policy. It allows to significantly broaden the professional perspective, to define the development trends in engine-building and get familiar with the co-workers' experience. All of this has a positive influence on professional advancement of the young engineers and their work becomes more efficient.
