Clare Fortune has joined us recently as Head of Customer Relations. Here she tells us a bit about herself.

Current role: Head of Customer Relations.

Previous roles: I've spent 25 years in financial services working for Prudential, Abbey National and Nationwide selling door to door as a licensed consultant for the Pru in Raynes Park and Wimbledon. I then became a Senior Operations Manager with Abbey at the Head Quarters in Milton Keynes and Nationwide Head Quarters at Moulton Park Northampton. I worked in Customer Service, Regulated Sales and Debt Management for them. Other than that I have been a manager in retail, travelling to Chicago for a high end clothing company to understand the American origins of the company. I also had to bring in a new telephony system and a home working team.

Area of expertise: Change and leading people through it, particularly in the financial services and call centre environment.  It's about creating the vision and the journey and then getting people to create and buy into the vehicle to get there.

Why Employee Benefits?: It is a key area and an area companies use to attract and retain staff. So for me I see it as an area of growth, something I want to be part of and can add value to in terms of customer service, customer journey and people development.

Proudest PG moment: This might be a bit too soon as I've only been here a short while. I think I would say the Quarterly Sales Meeting on the 3rd January, firstly being invited but secondly feeling part of a highly motivated team with a clear vision and objectives and a goal for the future and realising I was part of that vision it made me feel proud.

Hobbies: I enjoy walking mainly in country parks with my two mad boxer dogs Lilly and Podge. I like swimming too, easy exercise with no sweating! Holidays mainly to the Greek Islands. I keep promising myself I will learn Greek but have not got around to it yet. I fancy myself as a bit of a chef too, but my husband and children Georgina and Josh would probably disagree considering some of the things I have served them. They do not always turn out as they should but at least it gives them a giggle.
