Petroleo Brasileiro Petrobras : Decree excludes equity stakes held by Petrobras from PND

Rio de Janeiro, October 20, 2017 - Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. - Petrobras informs that Decree no. 9,173, of 10/18/2017, has been issued, excluding the minority equity stakes held by Petrobras in Deten Química S.A. and Braskem S.A. from the National Privatization Program (Programa Nacional de Desestatização, PND), as published in the Official Federal Gazette yesterday.

Such exclusion is due to the fact that these stakes, that the ownership passed to Petrobras as a result of the incorporation of Petroquisa, were made available to BNDES to promote their sale, in the 1990s.

With the aforementioned Decree, all of the shares held by Petrobras in such companies that were blocked by the National Privatization Fund are now free and clear for eventual sale, pursuant to the strategy defined in its Business and Management Plan.
