Petroleo Brasileiro Petrobras : Total output operated in the pre-salt layer grows 6%

In July, the oil and natural gas output that we operate in the pre-salt layer was up 6 percent over the previous month and set a new monthly record, closing at 1.32 million boed.

This result is mainly due to the entry into operation, on July 8, of the Central Lula production system, by means of FPSO Cidade de Saquarema, and to the increased production of new wells connected to FPSOs Cidade de Maricá and Cidade de Itaguaí, also installed in the Lula field.

The oil output we operated in the same month in the pre-salt layer was also a monthly record, averaging 1.06 million bpd, surpassing the monthly milestone of 1 million bpd for the first time. In addition, we set a new daily record, with the production of 1.11 million barrels, on July 20.

Oil and natural gas output in July

Our total oil and natural gas output, in July, was 2,89 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed), stable compared to the previous month's, which was 2.90 million boed. Of this total, 2.70 million boe were produced in Brazil, while 0.19 million boed abroad.

In July, the average oil output was 2,29 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed), aligned with the previous month's, which was 2.30 million boed. Of this total, 2.20 million bpd were produced in Brazil, while 0.09 million bpd abroad.

Natural gas output sets a new record in the country

Natural gas output in the country, excluding the liquefied volume, was 79.4 million cubic meters per day, 0.7% above the previous month's (78.8 million cubic meters per day), a new monthly record.

The average natural gas production abroad was 16 million cubic meters per day, below the previous month's 17.2 million cubic meters.
