Egypt: West Mediterranean
Offshore Egypt has seen increased interest of late following the recent Zohr discovery and other active exploration activities. At AAPEX PGS is assisting EGAS (Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company) to promote Egypt's West Mediterranean Sea. This is an under-explored area with identified hydrocarbon potential. In preparation for the 2017 licensing round PGS and EGAS plan a new MC2D survey to assess the prospectivity of this frontier area.
Both EGAS and PGS will give presentations in the official program and will be available on the EGAS stand.
Republic of Congo: Coastal Basin and Cuvette Basin
The Republic of Congo officially launched its 2016 License Round on October 28, 2015, following a speech by the Minister of Hydrocarbons, Jean-Marc Thystère Tchicaya at Africa Upstream in Cape Town.
Eight deep and ultra-deepwater blocks are on offer in the offshore Coastal Basin (covered by PGS MegaSurvey 3D data), together with five blocks in the interior Cuvette Basin.

Our experts will be available on a special promotional stand for the Republic of Congo 2016 License Round. PGS is providing support to the Ministry of Hydrocarbons / DGH and the national oil company SNPC.
