Exemplary branding: Pfleiderer Deutschland GmbH receives a "Special Mention" at the "German Brand Awards"

Neumarkt, 30 June 2017 - In Berlin yesterday, Pfleiderer received a "Special Mention" from the German Brand Institute. In the DRIVE: Volkswagen Group Forum, Stefan Göldner, Head of Communication of the wood-based panel manufacturer, accepted the prize for the "Pfleiderer Deutschland GmbH" brand, in the "Interior & Living" category on behalf of the entire Pfleiderer Group.

No direct advertising possible - candidates are nominated

"With the German Brand Award we want to strengthen the importance of the brand as a decisive factor for the success of companies in the national and international competitive environment", explained Andrej Kupetz, CEO of the "Rat für Formgebung" (German Design Council), which initiated this competition: "We discover, present and award a prize to unique brands. In this way, we not only promote the winners, but the entire industry."

You cannot apply directly for this competition. Only companies nominated by the German Brand Institute and its brand scouts may participate. An independent, top-class committee of experts whose members come from brand business and science.

Outstanding communication for internationally integrated companies
With the "Special Mention" distinction received by Pfleiderer, the jury acknowledges particular commitment to the competitiveness of German brands."The start of our first worldwide collection was an apt point for use to develop a new overall concept for our communication", explained Göldner: "It extends from classic advertising to corporate publishing through to social media marketing."

A particular challenge was that Pfleiderer has only recently begun to present itself as an internationally integrated company. "Last year we made two companies, in Germany and Poland, one, we merged the product ranges and functions and created a joint brand and market image", explained Göldner: "Our new "Pfleiderer" brand, with all its means of communication, satisfies this internationalism in an exemplary way."

Pfleiderer developed this in collaboration with Werbung.etc agency in Stuttgart, (overall concept, media and print) and the kbw brands agency, Gersthofen, (print), artgerecht zwo, Bielefeld, (customer magazine) and Olender-Press, Opole, (social media).
