We inform that in spite of recent news, PGNiG S.A. did not send to the European Commission any request for initiation of a separate/second antitrust proceeding against Gazprom.

On 9 March 2017 PGNiG S.A. filed to the Commission in accordance with art. 7.2 of the Regulation on the implementation of the rules on competition laid down in Articles 81 and 82 of the Treaty (1/2003/EC) a request to join as a complainant the antitrust case initiated in 2012, in order to provide the Commission with information on Gazprom abuses, which could be useful in Commission proceedings. The file was accompanied by a request for access to the statement of objections. The Commission, despite its obligation under the art. 6.1 of Regulation relating to the conduct of proceedings by the Commission pursuant to Articles 81 and 82 of the Treaty (773/2004/EC), still not provided the statement. PGNiG S.A. considers further procedural steps in this matter.

Irrespective of the above, PGNiG S.A. informs that within the antitrust proceedings initiated in 2012 it will file by the provided deadline its own contribution to the market test procedure.
