Plains All American Pipeline, L.P. (NYSE: PAA) today announced several officer promotions and related actions. Mark Gorman, Dan Nerbonne, Phil Smith and Dwayne Koehn have each been promoted or assumed additional responsibilities as further described below.

Mark Gorman, currently Executive Vice President Operations and Engineering, is moving to a new role of Executive Vice President. In this new role, Gorman will be a special advisor to the President and COO, U.S. and will spend time on strategic initiatives and supporting the transition of his current role.

Dan Nerbonne, currently Senior Vice President Engineering, has been promoted to Executive Vice President Operations and Engineering. In this role, Nerbonne will be responsible for leading the U.S. Operations, Engineering, Land, Communications, Safety and Environmental groups. Nerbonne joined Plains in 2005 and has been instrumental in leading our Engineering group for the past 10 years.

Phil Smith, currently Vice President Operations, has been promoted to Senior Vice President Operations. Smith joined Plains in 2002 and has been leading the Operations organization since 2008. His leadership has supported rapid growth at Plains and he will continue to drive operational excellence in his new role.

Dwayne Koehn, Vice President Engineering, will be taking on additional responsibilities in leading the entire Engineering, Integrity, and Technical Services organizations. Koehn joined Plains in 2005 and has held various engineering roles with increasing responsibility. In his most recent role, Koehn has been instrumental in the rapid organic growth of Plains including the successful completion of numerous pipeline construction projects.
