Anglo American PLC (AAL.LN) said Tuesday that De Beers sold $555 million worth of rough diamonds in the second sales cycle of 2018, an increase on the year-earlier period.
The company said that rough diamond sales in the second sales cycle of 2017 were $553 million.
Bruce Cleaver, chief executive of De Beers, in which Anglo American holds an 85% stake, said that during the second sales cycle demand for rough diamonds continued to be good, in line with expectations.
