PNE WIND AG sells the Sontra und Kemberg III wind farms to CHORUS

Cuxhaven, 31th July 2014 - The wind farm project developer, PNE WIND AG, has sold the two wind farms, "Sontra" (Hessen) and "Kemberg III" (Sachsen-Anhalt), to a Luxemburg special fund administered by the CHORUS Group. The wind farms with a total of nine wind energy systems have a combined nominal output of 21.6 MW. Both wind farms were developed by PNE WIND AG and upon completion, the company will be responsible for the technical operations management.

Both wind farms are currently under construction and will be completed and commissioned in the second half of 2014. The Nordex N117 wind energy systems demonstrate a particularly high efficiency in inland locations with the systems benefitting from high hub heights which reach 140.6 metres. This allows for the optimum harnessing of the wind at both locations and thus ensures that the new wind energy systems can produce environmentally friendly electricity which is equivalent to the annual consumption of about 18,000 four person households.

The CHORUS Group has purchased wind farms developed and constructed by PNE WIND AG for the first time. "We are delighted to have been able to purchase these wind farms equipped with the most modern of turbines from such a professional developer as PNE WIND AG and look forward with pleasure to a long term co-operation both in their technical operations management as well as in further projects" said Holger Götze, responsible for investment in the CHORUS Group's business management.

Martin Billhardt, Chairman (CEO) of PNE WIND AGs Board of Directors: "We are very pleased that CHORUS has now chosen wind farms developed by us for the first time. Considering the long term nature of the investment, this demonstrates trust placed in the wind farms developed by our team. We would be very pleased if this co-operation could also be continued in the future".
