This fantastic amount was raised by 160,000 enthusiastic primary school children who sold their products to as many Dutch people as possible over the course of a week.
Guus Meeuwis played a special role during the Children's Welfare Stamp campaign, being the secret minister of Children's Stamps during the campaign. The pupils had to discover his identity through a mysterious game.

The minister wasn't the only new thing this year; the children were also coached by YouTuber Dylan Haegens, and this year for the first time they could make a note of their orders using an ordering app.

Stephan van den Eijnden, Commercial Director Mail for PostNL, presented Guus Meeuwis with the first sheetlet of Children's Welfare Stamps for 2017, which feature an illustration of Jan, Jans en de kinderen (Jack, Jacky and the Juniors).
The choice of design for the Children's Welfare Stamps honours Jan Kruis, the author of the popular comic, who died in January this year.

The amount raised in this campaign is the highest in the past four years.
