Powersafe Technology Corporation is engaged in the development of a discrete amplification photon detector (DAPD), through its subsidiary, Amplification Technology Inc. (Amplification Technology). Amplification Technology develops and offers various photon-detector array configurations, as well as single photon-detector. Its photon detectors are based on a semiconductor photon detection technology, DAPD. DAPD technology is based on a multi-cell design, where a photodetector is comprised of many (hundreds) micro-channel cells called micro-cells. Its products offer part numbers, including 5x5 DAPD-Array-1550-100-RX, DAPD TO8 -1550-200F, DAPD 5x5+ PCB-1550-100, DAPD 5x5-100, DAPD-TO8, DAPD-TO39, DEM2-TO8 and DEM1-TO39. The DAPD is specifically usable in Light Detection And Ranging (LiDAR) applications, especially when comparing the DAPD to Geiger-Mode Avalanche Photo-Detectors (GM-APD).
