PPR, Yoox In Talks Over Joint E-commerce Project

French retail-to-luxury company PPR SA (>> PPR) said Thursday it is in talks with Italian online fashion retailer Yoox SpA (>> YOOX SpA) on a joint e-commerce project.

"PPR SA states that it is currently holding commercial discussions with Yoox SpA, which form part of the two Groups' normal business activities, to examine the possibility of working together on an e-commerce project," said the company in a statement. "No definitive agreement has been signed to date," it added.

The statement follows media reports earlier this week that PPR luxury products would be sold through the Italian company's digital platform.

At 1254 GMT, PPR shares traded 0.7% higher at EUR122.05.
